FIDE Album 2007-2009

Nowadays there are eight sections in the Album:

•     Twomovers
•     Threemovers
•     Moremovers
•     Endgame studies
•     Helpmates (with three sub-sections)
•     Selfmates
•     Fairy chess
•     Retro and mathematical problems

There are three judges in each section (helpmates sub-section). Each judge may give 0-4 points to the problems. The compositions with at least 8 points qualify for the Album. Instructions to directors and judges.

International titles for composers are granted according to the Album points. One point is given for each Album problem (1,67 points for endgame studies). In joint compositions the points are divided by the number of composers. The limits are:

• Grandmaster  70
• International Master  25
• FIDE Master     12
